About the Role
Seeking a knowledgeable instructor specializing in computer networking and cybersecurity. The role involves teaching network infrastructure, protocols, security principles, threat analysis, and mitigation techniques.
• Develop and deliver lectures on computer networks, cybersecurity, and programming.
• Teach core programming languages and network security concepts, focusing on network administration, ethical hacking, and digital security.
• Design a curriculum that aligns with modern industry standards and integrates best practices in cybersecurity and software development.
• Guide students through hands-on labs, real-world problem-solving scenarios, and practical coding exercises.
• Assess student understanding through assignments, exams, and cybersecurity simulations.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in cybersecurity, programming frameworks, and network technologies.
• Provide academic and career mentorship to students pursuing cybersecurity and software development professions.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional research, and industry collaborations.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with a focus on networking/security. Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, CISSP, Cybersecurity, CEH) are highly advantageous. Practical experience in network administration or cybersecurity. Teaching experience preferred.
• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a focus on networking/security.
• Certifications: Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, CISSP, Cybersecurity, CEH are highly advantageous.
• Experience: Practical experience in network administration or cybersecurity.
• Teaching Ability: Capacity to explain complex networking and security concepts in an engaging and accessible manner.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Adaptability: Ability to integrate real-world cybersecurity threats and challenges into the learning experience.
• Industry Knowledge: Awareness of the latest advancements in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and system protection strategies.
